Store Shepherd legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 July 2026
These terms govern use of the Store Shepherd website and, where incorporated into a pilot order, evaluation access to the Store Shepherd service.
1. The provider
“Store Shepherd”, “we” and “us” refer to the Store Shepherd operating company. The final legal entity, registered office and trade licence are to be confirmed. Product pilots may be subject to a separate written order or pilot agreement, which will control if it conflicts with these terms.
2. Website use
You may use this website for lawful business evaluation and contact purposes. You must not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape it at disruptive scale, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
3. Pilot and evaluation access
- A pilot is limited to the stores, cameras, users, period and use case agreed in writing.
- You are responsible for authorised camera access, notices, policies and lawful use in your premises.
- You must provide accurate configuration information and control access by your personnel.
- We may suspend access to protect security, integrity or third-party rights.
4. Human review
Store Shepherd surfaces potential events for review. Outputs are not a statement of guilt, identity or legal conclusion. You are responsible for reviewing footage and context, training staff, and deciding any operational response. The service must not be used as the sole basis for detention, accusation, disciplinary action or other significant decisions about a person.
5. Data and privacy
Each party will comply with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements. Where Store Shepherd processes personal data for a customer, the Data Processing Addendum and the customer’s documented instructions apply. You confirm that you have the authority and lawful basis needed to provide data to the service.
6. Intellectual property
Store Shepherd and its licensors retain all rights in the website, service, software, models, interfaces, documentation and aggregated service learnings that do not identify a customer or individual. You retain rights in your store data and footage. Feedback may be used to improve the service without restriction or attribution.
7. Confidentiality
Non-public product, security, commercial and customer information disclosed in connection with a pilot must be protected with reasonable care and used only for the agreed evaluation or service relationship. Standard exceptions apply for information already known, public without breach, independently developed or lawfully obtained.
8. Availability and warranties
Unless a signed agreement states otherwise, the website and any early evaluation service are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. No detection system is complete or error-free.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable under these website terms for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Any specific liability allocation for a paid or operational pilot will be set out in the signed agreement. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Governing law and contact
The governing law, courts and formal notice details are to be confirmed in the final entity documentation or applicable signed agreement. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
